Olivia Carlton, Soprano
Olivia Carlton is dedicated to creating an inclusive and vibrant atmosphere in the music world through her dual roles as an operatic soprano and music teacher.
Recently, Olivia performed the role of Lucia in the wedding scene and sextet of Lucia di Lammermoor with Peabody Opera Theatre. Other recent roles include Nursemaid #1 in Kurt Weil’s Street Scene, and Prince Charming in Massenet’s Cendrillon.
In the classroom, Olivia creates a nurturing and imaginative environment for her students. She loves guiding young musicians through their journeys, often using silly metaphors and encouraging curiosity.
Olivia holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy at the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins.
